Digital Radiography
X-rays are an important diagnostic tool that allows us to visualize hard tissues like teeth and bone. The images are taken once or twice a year, depending on your individual needs, in order to analyze the evolution of your oral health.
Digital X-rays help detect several abnormalities:
- Interdental caries
- Tooth infection
- Bone loss
- Developmental abnormalities
- Abscesses or cysts
- Poor position of teeth and roots
- And much more…
The shots, which are generated in a few moments, have the advantage of being able to be resized. This allows us to detect hidden anomalies and intervene accurately at an early stage.
Digital X-rays emit one-third the radiation compared to traditional X-rays, and are fast, comfortable and safe. Since they are digitized, they can be easily filed in your electronic file and are easily transferred from one professional to another according to your authorization.
An X-ray for every type of problem
Interproximal X-ray
Taken during periodic examinations, this X-ray can detect the presence of cavities between the teeth, see if there is bone disease and check the condition of the fillings.
Panoramic X-ray
Known as the Panorex, this image allows you to see all the structures of the skull and mouth such as the dental arches, joints, sinuses, wisdom teeth and more.
Periapical X-ray
It is used to isolate a group of teeth to better observe the root, crown and bone underlying the gum.
The cephalometric X-ray
Mainly used in orthodontics, it is used to assess bone growth and the development of teeth.
